News and Notes

Note from the Principal:

Thank you to all the families who provided salads and sweets for the faculty luncheon today.  They were overjoyed at the wealth of choices.  You showed the staff they are appreciated.  If you can, please send your appreciation to our faculty.  They work hard to make this learning community the best it can be for your children.  There was a great camaraderie today in the library with the smorgasbord of food, and the conversation was easy and collegial.  I love this faculty, and am impressed every day.

Have a good weekend!

Principal

“Talking with Teens” video series #4 (w/ Spanish subtitles)

It’s week #4 of sharing the Talking With Teens video series! Please reach out if you have any trouble posting or sharing.
You can choose your own wording to accompany the video. I am including some samples which you can modify/combine/edit to your liking. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6sNZFDpZNY
  1. Keeping the conversation going is key when you Talk with Teens about substance use. You’ll have lots of goals, but the most important one is to keep the conversation going! Watch this video for some quick tips.

  1. Talking with Teens is a video series created by the Southern Berkshire Community Health Coalition in partnership with Railroad Street Youth Project, Multicultural BRIDGE, and The Center for Motivation and Change. This video helps caring adults take the time to listen to young people’s decisions around substance use. It also helps caring adults find a way to listen without condoning behavior that is harmful to young people.

  1. Interested in learning more? Watch this space every Friday for the next eight weeks for new videos.
